Shawn Harper Speaks to ECA
Former NFL Players delivers the Gospel
Shawn Harper was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. Although he grew up in a tough environment, he was able to rise up and create his own destiny. He played football at and graduated from Indiana University and then went to the NFL, playing as left tackle for teams like the Rams and Colts, and blocking for some of the NFL's lengendary quarterbacks. Mr. Harper is a family man, a business owner, a life coach, and was even featured on MTV's reality show 'MADE' to help Jordan become Prom Prince at his school. He believes that helping and investing in people reaps a lifetime of dividends. Each year, he travels around the country speaking to hundreds of thousands of students about the consequences of bullying, alcohol, drugs, suicide, and poor self-image, and then empowers them to make the wise choices that help them live out their dreams. One of his favorite sayings is "You're not born winners, you're not born losers - you're born choosers."
